From the late 1940's/1950's these screw back earrings are excellent condition as pictured. The design is a variant of pre-Columbian traditional motiffs. A curving S shape is representative of the blue worm or xonecuilli which was associated with lightening and fertility.
They are signed on their reverse Mexico DF 925 along with the artisan name MAR. Measurements: Length 1 1/2"; Width 1".

Sterling Silver Earrings marked with an Eagle Assay 3, Taxco 925 and the artisan's name - A Garcia. Lapis Lazuli present in the composite of the design. They measure approx. 1" in diameter. Circa 1950's -60's. Condition is very good. Tiny imperfections in a couple of areas of the inlay but not very detractive at all when worn. Closure is a screw back type made of alpaca.

Heavy Solid Piece of Sterling Silver! The centerpiece of this 1940's Mexican Necklace is a deity mask carved from obsidian stone. Plenty of similarly designed pieces were likely put out by various artisans from Mexico City and the famed Taxco region, but no two are exactly alike ~ that's the real beauty of these very collectible handmade works of art.
