A sturdy little piece of exceptional intricate filigree and detail. Marked 800 on the reverse, I believe its origins to be Italian. There is a small lozenge beneath the silver denotation which may have contained a fascio symbol or not, unfortunately, the characters have eroded with time. Approximate age - pre 1945.
On it's back, it features a long pin and closure in good working order. Condition is excellent. Very minute wear to the filigree. Enlarge any of the photos for for a close-up.

With a vividness of color which must have been inspired by the Mediterranean Sea itself, this delightful European 800 silver pin was finished with a gold vermeil which has developed a delightful antique patina. The enameling is one of the most breathtaking I've come across. Marked 800 on the reverse. Pin and closure in good working order. Measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/2". There is a blemish on a small area of the enamel (upper right wing blue enamel dots 2 and 3). However this is still an incredibly pretty addition to your jewelry collectibles. Age tarnish is easily cleaned if buyer so desires. You may click on any image to enlarge.

Lattice design sash pin in copper and brass is signed with crown and shield hallmark and the company name F.N.CO or Fishler, Nessler and Company, New York, NY. In business between 1900 through mid 1930's.
The piece measures 1 3/4" by 2 1/4" and is in good condition. C clasp closure.
At the height of popularity, during the Victorian and Edwardian ages, these beautiful ornate pins were worn by ladies on dress sashes to embellish and accentuate a small waist or a high bosom. Changing fashions of the 1920's and the aging of the late Victorian generation spelled the end for the sash pin by the early 30s. Recently they have re-emerged in popularity. Their large sizes makes for perfect for embellishing accessories such as scarves, hats and purses.
